Today the museum’s exposition consists of two permanent exhibitions that reveal the history of the Moscow district of Zamoskvorechye, Balchug Island and its main thoroughfare, Sadovnicheskaya Street. Here one can see old postcards and maps of the city, learn from documentary chronicles what the nearby streets looked like a century ago, admire the panoramic view of the 1850s, which gives an idea of the nature of urban development after the fire of 1812. An interactive map with a touchscreen is dedicated to Zamoskvorechye of the 19th - early 20th century.
