Large-scale exhibition project "The Country of the Great Achievements. #Russiacannotbecanceled " will be launched on Russia Day, June 12 at the site of the Museum of Contemporary History of Russia. The project is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives. The exhibition, which includes five thematic halls, will tell about Russia's achievements and its contribution to the development of world civilization in science, culture, medicine, art, space, geographical discoveries and many other areas.
The unusual design of the exhibition space in the new world presents historical evidence of achievements, discoveries, and finds made by Great Russian scientists, writers, artists, composers, and travelers. Each of them is or was at one time or another an innovation in its field. Many exhibits are presented using modern technologies: digital images of sculptures, augmented reality, animation, video mapping, authentic historical reconstructions, and video infographics.
The exhibition covers many topics and includes hundreds of names and objects of particular value. It will be interesting for both connoisseurs of material culture and those who are just being acquainted with Russian history. In any case, it will be difficult to remain indifferent next to such symbols of the era as Sklifosovsky's surgical instruments, Papanin's suit, Mravinsky's baton, Sviridov's glasses, Chkalov's headset, Chaliapin's guitar, and Lepeshinskaya’s pointe shoes, real ampoules of the first measles and polio vaccines, Lodygin's lamp.
One of the main objects of the exhibition will be the multimedia cube with "revived" canvases, on which iconic works of Russian painting are projected. With its help, visitors will appreciate the path of the Russian art from icon painting and parsuna to the work of the wanderers and the avant-garde.
In the hall dedicated to medicine, there is the unusual installation that allows visitors to get acquainted with scientists who have made the significant contribution to the world science development, as well as to test their knowledge by answering questions of the special quiz.
The Earth explorers theme is represented by the gallery of unique achievements of the Great discoverers - from Afanasy Nikitin to Yuri Gagarin.
