The exhibition is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Yevgeny Yevtushenko birth, the outstanding Soviet and Russian poet. The exhibition is based on the unique artifacts - personal belongings, author's photographs, documents, and works of art from the branch of the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia - the Museum-Gallery of Y. Yevtushenko. In 2010, Yevgeny Yevtushenko donated his house in the famous writer's village Peredelkino as the gift to his native country.

The exhibition, which consists of three sections, opens with the collection of photos "My Humanity" taken by Yevtushenko in different years during numerous trips around the world. Author's love for people and nature is clearly read in them. He wrote several poetic lines to almost every photo.

The art works bought or presented to the poet by artists with whom he was familiar, are the important component of the second section of the exhibition. There are masterpieces by Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Max Ernst, Juan Miro, Niko Pirosmani, Oleg Tselkov, and Alexander Bibin. Presented paintings, sculptures, graphics, very different in style and mood, allow the visitor to feel the time, see the diversity of the world.

The final section of the exhibition “This gallery is my life, they are connected by one thread” is dedicated to life and work of the poet in the 21st century, opening of the “Museum-Gallery of Y. Yevtushenko” in Peredelkino. The unique items were handed over by Yevtushenko's widow, Maria Vladimirovna. There are his personal belongings, for example, the famous Yevtushenkov’s jackets and ties, awards, crystal wine glasses with the engraving about the film "Musketeers", which was never made during the life of Evgeny Alexandrovich. The poet's office in Peredelkino has been recreated - the table, the armchair, bookshelves and even the model of the window through which he looked at his garden.

For the first time, the exhibition presents archival documents, translations of Yevtushenko's articles in the foreign press, autographs of his poems, transcripts of speeches dedicated to Mayakovsky and Solzhenitsyn. The multimedia component organically complements the exhibition. Visitors could hear how Yevtushenko reads his poems, performs at the creative evening at the Polytechnic Museum, and conducts the tour of the gallery in Peredelkino. In total, about 200 exhibits are presented at the exhibition.

The Autonomous Non-profit Organization of the Higher Education “Institute of Contemporary Art” with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives prepared the exhibition project. Participants of the exhibition: the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia, Maria Yevtushenko, GCMSIR exhibition department "Museum-Gallery of Y.
